# Bleme · Features

Bleme is a desktop app for DJs that organizes your music library by sonic characteristics, not by manual metadata. This page describes **what each feature does**, with typical use cases.

## Seed (Semilla)

**What it does:** pick a track from your library as a reference, and Bleme returns a list of the tracks that best match it sonically · same mood, energy and texture.

**Input:** a track from your library.
**Output:** an ordered list of similar tracks, with an affinity score.

**Typical use cases:**
- Build a set around an idea or a reference track.
- Find natural continuations for a transition.
- Discover matching tracks without relying on manual tags.
- Replace a track with a similar one without breaking the mood of the set.

## Cluster

**What it does:** displays your entire library as a navigable three-dimensional map. Tracks that sound alike stay close; different-sounding tracks stay apart.

**Input:** your full library (or a filtered subset).
**Output:** a 3D space you navigate with the mouse. Each point is a track. Hover to see title and data; click to play.

**Typical use cases:**
- Visually explore what groups exist within your library.
- Find niches and micro-genres you built without noticing.
- Rediscover forgotten tracks in the less-frequented areas of the map.
- See how homogeneous or scattered a selection is.

## Export & Sync

**What it does:** everything you build inside Bleme (playlists, cues, ratings, edited metadata) can be exported directly to the software you play with. It never overwrites what you already had.

**Input:** playlists and tracks worked on inside Bleme.
**Output:** the same data available in the Traktor or Rekordbox library, with automatic backup beforehand.

**Typical use cases:**
- Migrate sets built in Bleme to the software you use in the booth.
- Keep metadata and cues in sync between Bleme, Traktor and Rekordbox.
- Work with new tracks in Bleme and see them appear in your platform without manual import.

## Folder monitoring

**What it does:** point Bleme at one or more folders where you download music, and it detects new tracks automatically. It analyzes and adds them to the library without intervention.

**Input:** one or more folders on the file system.
**Output:** new tracks appear analyzed and classified in the library, ready for Seed and Cluster.

**Typical use cases:**
- You buy new tracks and they show up ready to use without manual import.
- You plug in an external drive and its new tracks flow into the library in the background.
- You keep the library up to date without repetitive work.

## Supporting features

### Cover art detection
Detects and displays the artwork of each track.

### Grid / BPM / Key
Detects tempo (BPM), key and beat grid for each track. These are persisted and exported to the user's DJ software.

### Cue editor
Editor for hot cues and memory cues. Cues sync with Traktor and Rekordbox.

### Filters and search
Real-time filtering by title, artist, genre, BPM, key, tags, rating and other fields. Combinable.

### Rating and tagging
Own scoring system (0–5 stars) and free-text tags. Exported to Traktor and Rekordbox.

### Cover flow and player
Library view with cover art thumbnails, integrated player with play/pause, seek and volume. Supports MP3, WAV, AIFF and FLAC.

All writes create an automatic backup before touching the library.

**Note on UI language:** the app UI is currently Spanish-first; English UI is on the roadmap.

## Working model

Bleme runs on top of your existing library · **it doesn't move, rename or reorganize your files on disk**. Sonic and classification changes live inside Bleme and propagate to the software you choose.

If you stop using Bleme, your library stays exactly as it was before: nothing lost, nothing corrupted.
